This summer, eligible families will receive a one time payment of $120 for food through the N.C. Sunbucks program. Students who receive EBT (food stamps) or Medicaid should be automatically enrolled. Enrollment was automatic in the past because families filled out free and reduced lunch applications. This year, since meals are free for all students, families will need to apply online. **You will need your child's ID number to apply** https://www.ncdhhs.gov/sunbucks

💡Cub Spotlight💡 5th graders Manfred, Carlos, and Hansel were recognized by the county for their Young Author stories! This is Manfred's second year in a row representing VCE at Young Authors, Carlos worked on his story for two years and is on his way to being the next Jeff Kinney, and Hansel earned the highest score out of all VCE stories. WOW! We could not be more proud of our published authors!

Mark your calendars! USDA’s Summer Nutrition Programs for Kids (SUN) will be providing delicious meals this summer to help keep your kids fueled up and energized. These opportunities will be provided both as gathering meals and to-go meals.
