In response to House Bill 959, signed by Governor Josh Stein, North Carolina public schools are required to implement policies that limit student cellphone use during instructional time by January 1, 2026.
At CCS, we're ahead of the curve with our Yondr Pouch program — ensuring classrooms remain focused and distraction-free. Students in participating schools lock their phones in secure Yondr pouches from arrival until dismissal each day. This initiative supports a better learning environment and helps build healthy tech habits.
🚨 Need to reach your child during the school day? Emergency contacts can still be made through the school office.
