"Camryn Marshall exemplifies the true spirit of an Excellence and Opportunity Champion. In her first year as a school social worker, she has hit the ground running—building trusting relationships with families, advocating relentlessly for students’ well-being, and creating systems of support that ensure every child has access to what they need to thrive. Through her proactive leadership, equity-focused mindset, and commitment to uplifting our most marginalized students, Camryn strengthens our entire school community and models best practices in both student services and whole-child support every single day."
Let's congratulate Ms. Marshall! 👏 #OneChatham #ElevateChatham

Chatham County Schools will operate on an optional workday for staff on Thursday, January 29, 2026. Students will not attend school, and there will be no remote learning for students. All after-school events, activities, and athletics are canceled.
After consulting with the National Weather Service, local DOT, and emergency management officials, this decision was made due to lingering dangerous road conditions in the northern parts of the county following this week’s winter storm and overnight extreme cold.
Staff should use their judgment regarding driving conditions when determining whether to report to work, and should consult with their supervisor regarding remote work options, if applicable.
Please stay safe and warm! #OneChatham #StaySafe

The safety of our students, families, and staff comes first, and we want everyone off these icy roads and safe at home while learning continues.
Stay warm and we’ll see everyone back soon! ❄️ #OneChatham #ElevateChatham
