📚 Books on Break is back! Each year, Chatham Reads, a partnership between the Chatham Education Foundation and Chatham County Schools, hosts free book fairs called Books on Break. Every student in Kindergarten through 5th grade at the following schools will get to choose 4–5 books to take home and keep forever: Bonlee School, J.S. Waters School, Moncure School, Pittsboro Elementary, Virginia Cross Elementary, Silk Hope School, and Siler City Elementary!

🎨 High school artists from across the district came together for the One Chatham Arts Day last week! Students from all four high schools came together for a special day of artistic exploration by learning how to etch jewelry with real metal tools and felted wool. Thanks to our amazing clinicians Melanie Jackson and Kristi Eskelund for helping our students explore new art mediums!

Chatham Early College hosted a Jazz Poetry and Book release event featuring author Dr. Tatiana McInnis. CEC and ONE Academy students read poems and performed jazz songs to their peers, and CEC's Ms. Cheryl Whitehead read a few poems from her recently published book! #OneChatham
