In celebration of time-honored traditions, we proudly recognize Ms. Betty Wilson, the visionary behind our beloved Pittsboro Elementary Halloween Parade. 50 years ago, Ms. Wilson (mother of our very own Board of Education member, Jane Allen Wilson) brought our community together with a simple yet powerful idea: to ensure that every child had the opportunity to experience the joy of trick-or-treating.

Students at Silk Hope School and Perry Harrison Elementary were treated to dazzling performances by Flamenco Vivo, where dancers from Spain and Latin America shared the rich history and storytelling power of flamenco, blending art, movement, and learning in one unforgettable experience.
Meanwhile, Bennett School and Bonlee School welcomed Diali Cissokho, whose masterful drumming and music from Senegal introduced students to the heart of West African rhythm and tradition.
