Big shoutout to our Northwood Chargers and Seaforth Hawks, named conference champions of the Wells Fargo Cup! Northwood took the 4 Rivers Conference title, and Seaforth claimed the Big Seven Conference crown.

This recognition reflects outstanding achievement across academics, athletics, and school spirit throughout the year.

This week, members of the Chatham County Schools leadership team joined Chatham County Commissioners, the Chatham County Sheriff, and Chatham Habitat for Humanity for a Building Community event to learn more about Habitat’s work to create affordable, energy-efficient homes for local families. For 37 years, Habitat has helped Chatham County families build not just homes, but the foundation for long-term stability, strong neighborhoods and brighter futures.

Virginia Cross Elementary and Siler City Elementary had a special guest today, Pedro Martín, author of Mexikid: A Memoir! 📚

Her nominator said:

"Kim Fox is the definition of dedication, dependability, and going above and beyond; her daily schedule alone demonstrates her extraordinary commitment to serving students across multiple campuses. Kim begins her day supporting Chatham Early College, One Academy, Virginia Cross, and Central Carolina Community College (CCCC), moving between locations throughout the day to ensure students have what they need.

She travels to serve breakfast, returns to her home base, heads back to support Second Chance breakfast, returns again to pick up lunch, and then makes another trip to serve lunch before finishing her day at CCCC. Despite a schedule that would wear out most people just reading it, Kim consistently shows up, keeps things moving, and makes sure students are taken care of. Her unwavering reliability, flexibility, and willingness to do whatever is needed make her an exceptional example of service and a truly deserving nominee. #OneChatham #ForwardTogether
