Thank you for joining us at Back to School night last night! We had a great turnout and it was wonderful to see all of our Panthers and their families in the building.
Today we held our annual Back-to-School staff meeting! We spent the day building connections through team activities, celebrating the growth we made last year, welcoming our new staff members, and preparing for an incredible 2025-2026 school year! 🐾
🔐 To prepare for the 2025–26 school year, Google account passwords and Clever badges for K–8 students will be reset on Monday, Aug. 18. Schools will provide more details on how new passwords and badges will be shared with students. #OneChatham

We absolutely loved having Ms. Rachel at Bennett this year, working alongside Mrs. Scott in guidance. She formed such meaningful relationships with our students, and her impact was truly felt throughout the school. Now that she’s completed her master’s in counseling, we’re so excited to see her take the next step as a full-time school counselor at her own school! While we wish we could keep her longer, we’re incredibly grateful for all she’s done for our Bennett family. Thank you, Ms. Rachel — we’ll miss you and wish you all the best in this exciting new chapter! 🐾

📢 Service Restored – EOG Testing to Proceed as Scheduled 📢
We’re happy to share that phone and internet service has been restored at all affected schools. EOG testing will continue as originally planned. Thank you for your patience and continued support! 💙 #OneChatham
Dear Chatham County Families,
We want to inform you about a current phone and internet outage affecting the western half of Chatham County, impacting several schools, including:
- Bennett School
- Bonlee School
- Chatham Middle School
- JS Waters School
- One Academy
- Siler City Elementary School
- Silk Hope School
- Virginia Cross Elementary School
The service provider is actively working to restore connectivity and anticipates resolution by tomorrow morning. If service is restored, students will proceed with the North Carolina End-of-Grade (EOG) Reading Assessment as scheduled.
In the event that service is not restored by tomorrow morning, the following adjusted testing schedule will apply:
- Wednesday, May 28: Grades 3–8 Reading EOG
- Thursday, May 29: Grades 3–8 Math EOG
- Friday, May 30: Grades 5 and 8 Science EOG
We appreciate your understanding and flexibility as we collaborate with our service provider to restore internet access. Please ensure your child has a restful night's sleep, reflects on the year's learning, and is prepared for a successful EOG experience tomorrow.
