Tonight, Chatham County Schools recognized two very special Bennett Panthers as they prepare for retirement.
While we're certainly not ready to see Ms. Kim and Mrs. Shaner go, we are incredibly thankful for the many years they have devoted to Chatham County Schools and the students, families, and staff of Bennett School. Their impact reaches far beyond the classroom walls and will be felt for years to come.
Thank you, Ms. Kim and Mrs. Shaner, for your dedication, service, and love for our Panthers. We are so grateful for all you've done and wish you both the very best in retirement! 🐾
We would also like to congratulate Mrs. Carrie Little on her retirement. We appreciate the time she spent serving Bennett students and coaching our girls volleyball team. We wish her all the best in this next chapter as well!

We are excited to spend the week building confidence, encouraging our students, and having fun together with themed spirit days leading up to testing. As we wrapped up the final day of Teacher Appreciation Week, our amazing PTA treated our staff to a breakfast bar that just kept going and going! We cannot thank them enough for the time, effort, and love they poured into spoiling our staff this week. Layton shared stories about his journey as a writer, asked thought-provoking questions, and introduced his new book, Doubles, Silver Beach High, which is available on Amazon!
