Phones Down = Focus Up at Chatham County Schools!
We’re seeing how digital distractions can steal attention and disrupt classroom rhythm, but U.S. research shows there’s a better way:
👉77% of U.S. public schools already restrict phones during class, and over half of school leaders report phones hurt academic performance and focus. (ICS)
👉Two-thirds of Americans believe all-day phone bans improve social skills, grades, and behavior. (Pew Research Center)
👉Parent-led movements nationwide — from Vermont to coast — are driving phone-free school policies, citing real improvements in academic engagement and mental health. (TIME)
Our Yondr Pouch Program aligns with this evidence — intentionally steering students toward focused learning and better social interaction.

Yesterday, the Principal and Assistant Principal of North Chatham Elementary School hit the road for a special “Jaguar Safari,” surprising students and families with poolside meet & greets across the community! 🌊☀️
From Nature Trail to Amberly, the safari brought school spirit, gifts, and even prizes to lucky jaguars. 🎉 Families had the chance to meet school leaders, connect with one another, and get excited for the start of the new year.
Thank you to everyone who came out — NCE is ready for a roaring 2025–2026 school year! 💙💛
