Chatham County Schools will dismiss early on Friday, January 10, 2025, at 11:30am. All after-school activities and athletic events have been cancelled. Additionally, all school activities including athletics are canceled for Saturday, January 11, 2025. This decision was made after consultation with the National Weather Service, local NCDOT, and Emergency Management personnel and is based on the impending winter storm. Chatham County Schools will operate on a two-hour delay for students and employees on January 7, 2025. After consulting with local DOT and emergency management personnel this decision was made due to expected below freezing temperatures, lingering moisture, and possible black ice. 🦷 The Piedmont Health Mobile Dental Clinic arrived at Siler City Elementary to serve our students! Thanks to the MOU approved in October by the Board of Education, students with parental consent can now access screenings, x-rays, and treatments without needing to leave school. This partnership makes dental care more accessible for our students, helping them stay healthy and ready to learn. Thank you, Piedmont Health, for investing in our students' well-being! #OneChatham
