Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year in Chatham County Schools!

Each school year brings fresh opportunities for learning, growth, friendship, and discovery, and I look forward to seeing what our students accomplish together.

This year also signals an important transition as we celebrate the progress of our current strategic plan while working together to shape the next five-year vision for Chatham County Schools. Our theme for this work during 2026-2027 is One Chatham: Forward Together, reflecting both the strength of our community and our shared commitment to continued improvement.

Our sustained progress depends on all of us working together in support of each child. As your Superintendent, I believe this important work begins with two guiding principles: gratitude and responsibility.

Gratitude for what has been entrusted.

Responsibility for what must now be done.

Gratitude for our amazing students, whose success gives purpose to every decision we make. We share a responsibility to prepare each student to graduate with options, including work, college, military, and community service. 

Gratitude for our families, whose partnership strengthens each of our schools. We share a responsibility to encourage and support the learning of each child. 

Gratitude for our staff and our local partners. We share a responsibility to ensure every school reflects the excellence our community expects.

Gratitude for the leadership of our Board of Education and the partnership of our County Commissioners. Together, we share a responsibility to be faithful stewards of the public trust and to invest wisely in the future of our students.

As we progress through 2026-2027, I invite you to explore the resources available on our website to learn more about our schools and our One Chatham strategic plan. Future opportunities to participate in shaping our five-year goals will be shared throughout the school year. For new families and visitors to our community, student registration information is also readily available from our homepage. 

I am honored and grateful to serve as your Superintendent, and I look forward to this important work together. Thank you for your partnership, your trust, and your commitment to Chatham County Schools!
