Our School Improvement Team grabbed their binoculars and zoomed in on schoolwide data and instructional practices during yesterday’s summer session. With a sharp eye on improvement, we’re spotting opportunities and getting the Jungle ready—our Jaguars will be back before we know it! 👀 #onechatham

We are on the prowl for Jaguars interested in joining the North Chatham staff! We are currently hiring for our secretary/treasurer, 5th grade teacher, and part-time EC resource teacher positions. Send resumes to Principal Murchison (nicole@chatham.k12.nc.us). 🐆 #onechatham

Waving you a little "hello" from the school to the pool! We might be two weeks deep in summer, but the energy from the last day still has us floating. Hope you've traded grades for shades, homework for hangouts, and algebra for adventure! 🛟 #onechatham

It's Throwback Thursday so we are taking it back to the Fifth Grade Moving-Up Ceremony! With a luau spirit, we honored an amazing group of students who are now sailing towards the next exciting island on their educational journey: middle school. Like expert voyagers, they spent the past years gathering knowledge, building friendships, and learning how to navigate through challenges. Just like the waves that shape the shoreline, each one of them made a mark on our school that will never be washed away. Go make some waves, fifth graders! 🌊 #onechatham

It's a warm Wednesday outside, and we have something that will warm your heart! A group of fifth graders asked Dr. Heffelfinger to help them provide a token of appreciation to the NCE staff before they left for middle school. The students worked together to hand deliver a sunflower stem and a poem to each staff member -- including custodians, office staff, instructional assistants, nutrition staff, bus drivers, and teachers. There were lots of hugs, and a few tearful eyes, as the fifth graders said thank you for cultivating, helping them grow, and teaching them more than they could know. 🌻 #onechatham

It's Trivia Tuesday! Did you know that we had a Student Advisory Group this past year? This group of fifth graders met with the administration team quarterly to discuss areas of excellence and opportunities for growth at North Chatham. The students had the opportunity to leave behind a legacy before heading off to middle school, including the introduction of the Family Lunch Days. Wishing them well as they go on to be MBP Mustangs! 🐎 #onechatham

It's Memory Monday, and we are reminiscing our PreK Moving-Up Ceremony. We are so proud of our youngest learners for all they learned with letters, numbers, and friendships during this school year. Remember to submit your pre-registration information on the CCS website over the summer so you are ready for kindergarten! 🍎 #onechatham

We are looking for new jaguars to join our jungle! Send your resume to Mallory Heffelfinger, Interim Principal (mheffelfinger@chatham.k12.nc.us). 🐆 #onechatham

Our jaguars are saying goodbye school, hello pool as we celebrate our last day of learning for the 2025-2026 school year! As we head into summer, we hope your days are filled with sunshine, laughter, and quality time together. Whether you're hitting the beach, diving into books, or just enjoying some well-deserved rest, we wish you a summer that recharges and inspires. We’ll be cheering for our Jaguars all summer long and look forward to welcoming everyone back in the fall for another year of growth, learning, and connection. 🤿 #onechatham

We are racing our way into Field Day! Make sure you come prepared with a water bottle, sunscreen (apply at home before coming to school), athletic shoes, and a possible change of clothes. 👟 #onechatham

Honk, honk! We are excited to share NCE's Bus Driver of the Year -- Mr. Robert Bland. With a heart of gold and hands always on the wheel, Mr. Bland goes the extra mile every single day — keeping our kids safe, smiling, and on time. 🛑 #onechatham

Our Cafeteria Manager has created a manager's choice menu that reflects our students' preferences. See the image for breakfast and lunch options for June 2nd-June 6th. 🥪 #onechatham

After 30 years of inspiring students to stay active, have fun, and give it their all, Coach Smith is hanging up the whistle! 🏅We are grateful for her service in Chatham County Schools, and wish her all the best as she settles into retirement. #onechatham
