Girls' flag football in NC is growing fast, but is still emerging. There are many more programs than a few years ago, growing interest, and community / NFL support (especially by the Panthers). Participation growth is strong: one source said girls’ flag football participation in NC grew by ~ 40.9%. Jordan-Matthews is proud of our Jets for contributing to the growth of the sport. Thanks to @heystxpix for capturing these moments of the inaugural girls' flag football game for JM.

Mr. Harmon and JM Students Davis Clark and Jayden Muñoz volunteered to build a shade and equipment storage extension for the Silk Hope Ruritans this summer. Over labor day weekend, their hard work provided shade for hundreds of community members during the annual Old Fashioned Farmers Days.

For AVID Day 2025 JM admin, staff, and students shared what AVID means to them, what AVID Jets are, and what AVID has empowered them to do. Join the JM Student Services Team on September 18th to learn about CCCC, paying for college and scholarships, the workforce, trade school, and the military. This parent night is geared toward parents/guardians of juniors and seniors.

Today, Mr. Harmon's beginner construction students tested the bridges they had been building for the last week and a half, reflected on collaboration and communication during their group work, practiced public speaking, and completed a self-assessment rubric.
