Our students have been diving into The Secret World of Plants and Pollinators during EL Module 3, exploring how plants grow, survive, and work together with pollinators. From detailed roots and stems to colorful flowers and helpful pollinators, their diagrams showcase both creativity and scientific learning in action!

We are so proud of their hard work and curiosity as they discover the incredible connections in nature.

Today our students attended an engaging, high-energy assembly with Box Out Bullying! Through an interactive live show, students learned four powerful rules to help stop bullying and discovered that they each have the power to make a positive impact in our school community. The message was clear: kindness matters, standing up for others makes a difference, and every student has a role in creating a safe and supportive environment. A huge thank you to our amazing PTA for their generous support in making this meaningful event possible. 🧡💚

Today, our staff participated in professional development focused on high-leverage instructional practices that strengthen student engagement and learning. We explored total participation techniques and structured protocols to ensure every student is actively reading, thinking, talking, and writing. Proud of our educators for their commitment to creating inclusive, engaging classrooms where all students thrive! 🧡💚

Our 4th graders had an unforgettable Friday welcoming our Young Authors Program featured author, Tate Godwin! Students attended an engaging workshop where they learned about the creative journey behind Operation: Cover-Up — from the first spark of an idea to the final published story. The visit wrapped up with a hands-on activity designed to jumpstart their own storytelling, and the creativity in the room was inspiring! We can’t wait to see the amazing stories our young authors create next.

We have received our certificate from the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction recognizing our achievement of achieving expected academic progress during the 2025–26 school year!

We are incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication shown by our students. This accomplishment reflects their perseverance, our staff’s commitment to excellence, and the strong support of our entire school community. 🎉🎉🎉

This week, we celebrate Love the Bus/School Bus Driver Appreciation Week! We are so thankful for our incredible bus drivers who safely get our students to and from school each day. Their dedication, care, and commitment make a difference every single morning and afternoon!
