Dear Mariner Families and Staff,
I am honored and excited to join the Perry Harrison Elementary School community this year as your Assistant Principal. This is my 16th year in education, and I’ve been fortunate to gain experience at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. Throughout my career, I have served as both a teacher and a leader in Exceptional Children’s programs, and I remain deeply committed to supporting all learners.
I am a proud lifelong learner, having earned my undergraduate degree from Loyola University New Orleans and my Master’s in School Administration from UNC - Chapel Hill. Go Tar Heels!
Relationships are at the foundation of my philosophy of education, as an educator and as a school leader. I believe that prioritizing students and fostering meaningful connections through effective communication and mutual respect are essential to both student achievement and a thriving school community.
This year, I will be splitting my time between Perry Harrison and Moncure. I am genuinely thrilled to become a part of the Mariner family!
Warmly,
Katherine Jordan
