We’re about to kick off our annual American Heart Association's Kids Heart Challenge (KHC)! This year, we are working to help all our students and families learn the lifesaving skill of Hands-Only CPR (no mouth-to-mouth breathing is required and even our youngest students can play a part by calling 911 and finding a trusted adult).

4th and 5th Graders -- Whether you’re fierce like Shere Khan, cool like Baloo, or brave like Mowgli, our spring musical needs YOU! Due to the weather, rehearsals had to roam, so auditions are moving — but don’t stay home! On Thursday, February 5th from 3:15-4:30, come show your flair; sing, act, and dance — let the jungle hear! 🐍

Although this snow might have us feeling like we are never, ever getting back together, we still want to take a moment to celebrate Mrs. Mukenge and Ms. Adkins during National School Counselors Week (February 2nd-6th). They are in their Counselor Era, and this week we recognize all they do to help our students shake it off, dream big, and chase their wildest dreams. They both make sure that every NCE student feels like they truly belong, and they help our Jaguars be fearless -- both in the classroom and beyond. We are so glad they’re part of our school story. We are buzzing in with an exciting announcement as we take it back in time this Tuesday -- Mako (3rd grader) won our school Spelling Bee in December.
