Seaforth’s Chick-fil-A Leader Academy™ Gears up for Good
PITTSBORO, N.C. – Students participating in Seaforth High School’s inaugural Chick-fil-A Leader Academy™ recently completed their annual Impact Project in support of youth at Siler City Elementary School. Titled “Field of Dreams: Gear up for Good”, the teen leaders designed a community service initiative to make sports more accessible within their Chatham County Schools community.
Over several months, the group collected and purchased new and lightly used sports equipment, including a basketball hoop, volleyball net, soccer goals, baseball bats, and footballs. The project culminated this week with the donation and set-up of the equipment during Siler City Elementary’s annual field day activities, where high school and elementary students joined together to celebrate the connective power of sports.
Seaforth High School is one of more than 1,400 schools across 46 states that participated in Chick-fil-A Leader Academy™ this year, fostering essential skills like servant leadership, teamwork, communication, and innovation. Since the inception of Chick-fil-A Leader Academy™ more than 12 years ago, over 265,000 students have participated in this program and learned how to inspire positive change in local neighborhoods.
