Chatham County Schools Honors 2026 Educators of the Year
PITTSBORO, N.C. — Chatham County Schools (CCS) proudly recognized its 2026 Educators of the Year during the annual Educator Recognition Reception held on Thursday, May 7. The event celebrated outstanding educators whose dedication, leadership, and commitment to student success make a lasting impact across the district.
The 2026 CCS Educators of the Year are:
Instructional Assistant of the Year: Otis Patterson, Margaret B. Pollard Middle School
Beginning Teacher of the Year: Natalie Levy, Pittsboro Elementary School
Teacher of the Year: Walter Johnson, Chatham Early College
Assistant Principal of the Year: Emily Kinder, Pittsboro Elementary School
Principal of the Year: Bradyn Robinson, George Moses Horton Middle School
“These exceptional educators represent the very best of Chatham County Schools,” said Superintendent Dr. Anthony D. Jackson. “Their passion, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to students embody the spirit of ONE Chatham. We are proud to honor their contributions and celebrate the difference they make every day.”
Each honoree was nominated by colleagues and selected through a districtwide review process recognizing excellence, leadership, innovation, and the ability to inspire and support both students and peers.
The Educator Recognition Reception brings together staff, district leaders, and community members to celebrate excellence in education and recognize those who go above and beyond in service to students and families.
Chatham County Schools congratulates all honorees and thanks them for their continued dedication to fostering student success and strengthening the community.
