Chatham Central High School Named a 2025 PTEC Signature School at Annual Consortium Meeting
PITTSBORO, N.C. — Chatham Central High School (CCHS) has been honored as one of 24 schools named a 2025 PTEC Signature School by the Piedmont Triad Education Consortium (PTEC). The announcement was made during PTEC’s Annual Meeting held Thursday, December 11, at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG).
The PTEC Signature School distinction recognizes schools demonstrating outstanding commitment to student achievement, innovative teaching practices, and meaningful school improvement. As a Signature School, Chatham Central stands out for its dedication to academic excellence, a collaborative school culture, and efforts that align with PTEC’s mission to support high-quality public education across the region.
“We are incredibly proud of Chatham Central High School for earning this prestigious recognition,” said Dr. Anthony D. Jackson, Superintendent of Chatham County Schools. “This honor reflects the tireless efforts of our teachers, administrators, students, and families who work every day to create a school environment where ALL students can thrive.”
The annual PTEC gathering brings together educators and leaders from across 16 member districts to celebrate exemplary schools and share best practices in education. The event at UNCG also featured remarks from the 2026 Regional Superintendent of the Year, Dr. Brad Rice, Superintendent of Stokes County Schools, a performance by the Montgomery Central High School Chorus, and a presentation of videos from each of the 24 Signature Schools.
