What an AMAZING week at Moncure 🎉✨
Our Panthers had the incredible opportunity to dive into Everyone Stop and Read with some very special guest readers!
A huge heartfelt THANK YOU to our wonderful Community Partners, our very own Superintendent Dr. Anthony Jackson, School Board Member Ms. Del Turner, and our Chatham County Schools Executive Directors for taking time out of their day to come read with our Panthers! Your presence means the world to our students and our school family!
And that's not all — our 7th-grade Panthers took learning BEYOND the classroom this week, exploring the school to discover the circumference and diameter of circular objects in the real world! 🔵📐 Math just got a whole lot more exciting!
This is what learning looks like when a community comes TOGETHER.
We are so proud of our students, our staff, and everyone who continues to pour into Moncure!

Congratulations to our talented young authors, Edward (3rd Grade) and Diana (8th Grade)!
Edward’s book, The Radioactive Fly, features a radioactive fly who escapes a lab and the trouble that follows. Diana’s book, The Golden Phoenix, describes a world where having magical powers ensures a wonderful life, while those without powers are cast away to a lonely island. Even more exciting,
Diana’s book is now published on Amazon Kindle and available for purchase!
Join us in celebrating these outstanding student authors and their incredible creativity. We are so proud of our Moncure Panthers!

Mrs. Secor, our Middle School teacher, led a spotlight on using GoGuardian as an instructional tool for real-time math feedback, and Mrs. Quinn, our Kindergarten teacher, guided our staff in using visuals to teach Fundations with fidelity.
We're also cheering on our Teacher Intern, Mrs. Kilchrist, learning alongside Mrs. Karstaedt in first grade!
At Moncure, we are MULTIPLIERS in leadership! 💪✨ #MoncureProud #TeacherLeaders #Multipliers

May 4-8
We are so blessed to have wonderful teachers who pour their hearts into student learning every single day. This week, we want to celebrate them in a BIG way!
We encourage all students and families to write a thank-you letter or card to a teacher who has made a difference. Take a moment this week to think about which special teacher deserves a little extra love!
And because our amazing staff deserves to have some fun too, we're taking it back to the 90's with a fun spirit week! 📼 Our Staff will bring some excitement to our Panthers this week.
Thank you to our incredible teachers and staff. Moncure wouldn't be the same without you! 💛 #TeacherAppreciationWeek #MoncureProud #ThankATeacher #90sSpirit

One of our Moncure Core Values is We are Student-Focused, and this week we're living that value in a BIG way!
Students who helped us reach our fundraiser goal are getting the incredible opportunity to be Principal for the Day! All week long, these amazing students will work through a real Principal's task list and experience what it's like to lead our school.
Today, we had the privilege of having Kindergarten students as our Principal for the Day! 👏 Take a sneak peek at our youngest leaders in action and see what being student-focused truly means at Moncure.

What a special day for our K-2 students! We were thrilled to welcome local author Vickie Hannah, who shared her two wonderful children's picture books about animals with our young readers.
The best part? Each student received TWO books to take home and keep! 🎉
A huge thank you to the Chatham Education Foundation and Chatham Reads for making this possible and helping us get books into the hands of our students. Moments like these foster a lifelong love of reading! 💙
