March Madness has begun at Moncure! While staff members might be choosing their favorite teams, students are choosing their favorite Fairy Tales in elementary and Poems in middle school. Let the games begin!

Moncure's First Graders got to spend some time at Perry Harrison today learning about soil and excavating for rocks and sharks' teeth! We enjoyed getting to make new friends and explore.

Moncure is creating a culture of reading. Middle school library assistants take a cart into the elementary hall every morning, and Mrs. Norman allows students to check out books before school. What a great way to celebrate "Read Across America Week!"

How many middle schoolers does it take to put ONE box of leftover food into the compost bin? Apparently all of them! Thank you to this crew who helped put leftover carrots and salad into our bin.

New this year! Students can receive a "Paws"itive Office Referral for showing the components of Panther PRIDE. Congrats to sixth grader Dillon Cousins who impressed the entire middle school team by showing Patience, Respect, Integrity, Doing his part, and Excellence when he voluntarily helped a new student navigate their new surroundings all week. #ThankQ #moncureschool #OneChatham
