💸 What does it cost to live alone? Thanks to Coastal Credit Union, 7th-grade students at Bonlee and Bennett took part in the Banking Reality series, an interactive financial literacy experience.
Thanks to this educational initiative, students were given a mock monthly income and had to navigate real-life expenses such as rent, utilities, groceries, and transportation while staying within budget. Along the way, they learned how quickly costs add up and the importance of planning, saving, and making informed financial choices.
Experiences like this help prepare our students for life beyond the classroom! #OneChatham

Chatham County Schools, in partnership with Chatham Drug Free, is hosting a series of three virtual community conversations. These informal sessions welcome parents, caregivers, local professionals, and community members who have questions about mental health services and substance use. Several local service providers will be available via Zoom to answer questions and engage in conversation. Participants are welcome to drop in for a few minutes or stay for the entire discussion.
The first event will take place on Tuesday, March 24, from 6:00–7:00 PM via Zoom. Spanish interpretation services will be available. For more information, visit the Chatham Drug Free website.
