Letter from Ms. Bennett

Greetings Bonlee School Community,

I hope this letter finds you well. It is an honor to introduce myself as the new Principal of Bonlee School. I am excited for the opportunity to serve Chatham County Schools in this elevated role.

My vision is centered around student care, collaboration, curriculum, and innovation to ensure all students receive an education that prepares them for college or career-ready futures and provides skills to navigate the world. I believe each student has unique gifts and talents. Building relationships is the cornerstone of educational excellence. When students feel seen, heard, and valued, they become motivated to work hard, show respect, and truly engage with their learning. I am excited to collaborate with faculty and staff to continue doing what is best for students.

In the 2025-2026 school year, I look forward to partnering with school teams to continue school improvement. Curricular expectations and student-centered teaching practices are the core of this work. Planning, coaching, monitoring, and reviewing data is a priority.

Over the past decade, I have honed my instructional leadership skills in rural and urban learning communities, which helped schools achieve academic growth. Due to various positions held throughout my years as a teacher, Assistant Principal, EC Program Facilitator, MTSS Coordinator, and Academic Coach, I gained a framework for developing best practices to impact teaching and learning. Additionally, I am more creative and thoughtful about problem-solving.

As Principal, I am eager to collaborate with our dedicated staff, families, and community to continue doing what is best for our students. Together, we will create a supportive, engaging, and challenging learning environment where each child has the opportunity to grow and succeed. My door is always open. I welcome opportunities to lead with and learn from all of you.

Thank you as we work together to make a difference in the lives of our children.
