Good Evening Mariner Families,

We had a great week this week! Please remember that teachers begin supervising students at 7:30 a.m. At this point, all students should walk to class with a staff member or solo. Unless there are extenuating circumstances, all parents should contact the teacher via email or phone for parent conferences if they desire a meeting for student supervision purposes.

Staff Wish List
Another great way to treat our staff year-round is to stock the breakroom with needed supplies.  You can purchase items off the wishlist to be shipped directly to the school.  Your donations are appreciated!

PTA News
I am so proud of our students, community, and families! So far, we have raised $6,050. That means we'll enjoy extra recess soon! Once we reach $10,000, we'll have fun with special specials.

This year's SOS fundraiser is all about improving our playground and outdoor spaces, and our goal is to raise $20,000. When your child completes the "What is your dream for our playground/How will you help our school?" form sent home in their take-home folder, we'll also enter them into drawings for lunch or assistant experiences with school staff, and prizes donated by our wonderful local businesses, like Pittsboro Toys, McIntyre's Books, Ali Cat Toys, Circle City Ice Cream, and more!

And there are other ways to help our school. Some students have been hosting lemonade stands on the weekends, and I've heard that other students are making friendship bracelets and other crafts to sell. On Friday, September 29, from 2:30-6:30, you can also buy native plants and local, kid-made crafts in the front parking lot. Every plant purchased buys a plant for our school. Proceeds benefit the SOS fundraiser--I hope to see you there!

Volunteer Opportunities
Parents and guardians, please make sure that you fill out a volunteer form. They must be completed each school year. Please find the link to the volunteer application in your email or on the Perry Harrison website. We look forward to partnering with parents and guardians again in various volunteer capacities as we have in the past.

You can find information and opportunities between weekly parent calls, on our Perry Harrison website, PTA Facebook page, and Twitter Page.

Have an amazing weekend!
