This is Julia Sussman with your Wednesday Night Top 5 Things to know  about upcoming school events.

1. Come out on Tuesday, November 22 from 5:30 - 7:00 to our PHE STEM Fair Family Night!  Students have been working hard over the last couple of weeks to create STEM projects in their classrooms.  Projects will be judged the morning of the 22nd and on display for family viewing that evening.  Come take a peek at some of the good things happening at PHE! 
2. The PHS PTA is looking for volunteers for (1) PHS gardens (native plants, in particular!) and beautification and (2) the Pittsboro Holly Days PHS parade float! Please contact secretary@phspta.org or message us on Facebook with questions or to volunteer!
3. Join other PHS families on the Reindeer Run 5K PHS Team, Saturday, Dec 10. Click  here for more information and to sign up!
4. The Fall Book Fair is November 28th-December 2nd, and volunteers are needed to help Mrs. Spell run a successful event so we can earn lots of new books and materials for our media center.  Sign up to volunteer  here.

5. Earn Thrift Shop volunteer hours for PHS by donating items for the PTA Thrift Shop supply drive happening through November 22nd!  Purchase items through our Thrift Shop Amazon wish list or pick up items like 30 gallon trash bags, cleaning supplies and hand soap and drop them in the collection bins at the front or back school entrances. Include your receipts, as PHS will earn one volunteer hour for every $7.50 in supplies donated.
