Good evening Mariner Families,

My name is Adalyn Taylor and I’m in the 5th grade. Here is your Wednesday Night Top 4 Things to know  about upcoming school events.

1. Dining for Dollars at Carolina Brewery in Pittsboro is coming up on Monday, October 3rd.  Dine in or get takeout at Carolina Brewery anytime that day, and a percentage of the proceeds will come back to PHS!
2. Our SOS Fundraiser is in its second week, and we appreciate all the donations that have already come in.  Our students have earned Special Specials for next week, and several classes have earned extra recess and free books for their participation.  Over 100 students have been entered for the prize drawings that will take place the next two Fridays, and your student's name can be added with just a single donation of any amount.  Donations big and small make a big difference for our school! If you have not yet contributed, please give online or send in your cash or check donations by October 7th.  Make sure to check out the video (on our website) of one of our very own teachers, Ms. Pruckno, who shares how she uses her SMART TV to enhance the instruction in her classroom. 3. Mark your calendar for the Perry Harrison Fall Festival on Saturday, October 22 from 3-6pm behind the school. Performers, face painters, giant bubbles, inflatables, a DJ and more! You don’t want to miss this fun family event. Watch your take home folders and phs social media for more details soon. 
4. Fall pictures will be taken on Friday, September 30th.  Every student's picture will be taken for inclusion in the school yearbook.  If you would like to purchase pictures you will need to send payment on Friday.  Order forms were previously sent home with students.  If you need an order form please let us know.
