My name is Vincent Taylor and here is your Wednesday Night Top 5 Things to know about upcoming school events.
- BIG news everyone! We are less than one week away from our SOS (Support Our Students) fundraiser! This coming Monday we will hold a Pep Rally in the gym to get everyone excited about SOS. Students will see some silly skits, a relay race, the Northwood Cheerleaders and hear a brief overview of this year’s fundraising event. Our goal is to raise $10,000 for SMART board TVs in every classroom. To learn more about SOS check out our social media pages and our school website. - Speaking of our fundraiser: Volunteers are needed for several of the incentive activities being held over the next few weeks for our SOS Fundraiser. Learn details and sign up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/.

- This coming Friday we will practice our first lockdown. Our teachers will talk to their students ahead of time about why this is important (to keep everyone safe) and where they will go depending on where they are in the school. This will be the only time parents are notified ahead of time for practice lockdowns.
- The Northwood High School Dance Team will be hosting a fall junior dance camp on Saturday, October 22nd from 9am-1:30pm for girls and boys in kindergarten through 8th grade in the NHS gym. The cost of the camp is $45 per student and will include a camp t-shirt, choreography, and a performance for family and friends at the end of the camp session. - It's time for fall pictures! Picture day is currently scheduled for September 30th. Be on the lookout for more info about purchasing photos. Also, you can use the link below from Strawbridge to sign up to receive updates via email regarding your child's school portraits. These updates include promotions, additional deals and the ability to order more pictures at a later time. When entering student information, parents should be sure to enter the student's name as it is on file at the school.
