Good evening Mariner Families,

This is Ms. Doty with your Wednesday night Top 5 Things to know about upcoming school events.

  1. By now you should have received an email from your child’s classroom teacher. If you have not received an email please call our main office in the morning and we will be able to share this information with you.
  2. Our Virtual Open House videos will be available for parent viewing by 1:00pm tomorrow afternoon. Please go to our PHS website and click on the tab “Virtual Open House”. That will take you to a page where you can choose your child’s classroom teacher and view his/her video. Teachers’ virtual classrooms will be ready for parents and students to explore on Sunday at 5pm. You can access these classrooms by going to our PHS website.
  3. CCS has created a very important document that all families should read prior to the start of school. This document reviews at home learning expectations for students in grades K-8. There is a link to this document in the email version of this message. We will also post it on our website. At Home Learning Student Expectations.
  4. Hotspots: The district has just shared more information regarding hotspots. Every family will be eligible for one hotspot. You will need to complete the form that is attached to the email version of this email and submit it by 5:00 PM on Thursday, August 20. This information can also be found on our district website.

  1. Distribution of materials: Our teachers will be gathering the necessary materials your student will need while working from home such as math workbooks, Fundations workbooks, etc. These materials will be distributed the week of August 24th. We will do this first round of distribution by students’ last name. In my next week’s message to families, I will provide more details about when families can come pick up these materials.
