Piedmont Triad school districts team up, talk education careers

GREENSBORO — Eighteen school districts in North Carolina’s Piedmont region are joining forces to host free virtual information sessions for those interested in careers in public education. On May 4-5 from noon-1 p.m., human resources professionals in the Piedmont Triad Education Consortium (PTEC) will share insider tips on a variety of employment opportunities available in local school districts. Participants may attend separate sessions on careers for classified staff positions in transportation, school nutrition and custodial services, as well as classroom specialties such as teacher assistants. Certified staff career sessions will include positions for teachers, counselors, social workers and school administrators. Classroom teacher pathways are available for individuals with four-year college degrees and for those without them.
