"Wow!" was a word heard frequently on April 24 in the Media Center at Virginia Cross Elementary. 20 classrooms participated in Google Expeditions that involved augmented reality. Students pointed their phones at a code and could see where their teacher, the "Tour Guide", had taken them. Some classes visited the Ecosystem of a Coral Reef, others viewed an entire human skeleton and others went to the outer planets. Teachers said it was a wonderful experience and said it was very easy to use. It was good practice because our school will soon have our very own kit. I'll bet there are more virtual field trips in the near future. Get ready!
