PITTSBORO — The Chatham County Board of Education on June 29, 2021, approved Chris Poston as the Executive Director for Excellence and Opportunity. In his new role, Mr. Poston will lead efforts to implement the district’s equity agenda as we work to support the academic achievement of all students and foster family and community engagement to activate and elevate voice and advocacy for historically underrepresented populations.
Poston has 25 years of service as an educator, 14 of which have been with Chatham County Schools. He has been the Executive Director for Elementary and Middle Grades Education for the district since 2018.
