BREAKOUT EDU FUN!
Several of our teachers such as Mrs. Smith, Mrs. Beck, Mrs. Vix and Mrs. Decristofaro have had their students engage in rigorous learning as they participated in "Breakout EDU kits" where students applied learning, knowledge and collaborative skills to solve problems and figure out how to "breakout" all locks to solve the challenge posed by their teachers. Students showed how clever and knowledgeable they were and we were SO impressed with them! Great job RAMS!!
Kate Stackhouse and Carolina Vix led a webinar on the dual-language model on Feb. 13, 2018.
The second semester has begun and it is hard to believe we have already completed half of the school year. In a few days, students will receive their report cards. This is a great time to sit down with your child and review grades for the first semester. Students must pass Language Arts, Math, and Science or Social Studies to make it to the next grade level. If your child is not meeting promotion standards, I encourage you to set up a meeting with your child's teachers to come up with a plan to help your child be successful in the second semester and meet promotion standards. If your child is already meeting promotion standards, encourage your child to continue working hard and focus on growth in the second semester. It is my hope that we can recognize all students as "Rising Rams" during the third nine weeks.
