Silk Hope School PTA
The Silk Hope Elementary School PTA provides parents, teachers, and members of our community the opportunity to unite to improve our children's lives at school and in our community.
The goal of the PTA and the PTA Advisory Board is to align our fundraising and spending with the academic goals identified by the School Improvement Team. This committee identifies many unmet financial needs of our school. Some examples of these include books, classroom supplies, teacher workshops, art and music supplies, athletic uniforms and equipment, field trips, various club needs, and playground equipment and maintenance to the school.
$5 per person
Being a member gives you voting privileges about Advisory Board decisions and gives you the right to make suggestions. Half of the membership money goes to Silk Hope School and the other half supports the National and State PTA.
Advisory Board Representatives
Each homeroom class has one parent representative. The Advisory Board meets once a month on the third Monday in the evening. They make decisions about fundraising and decide what budget requests go to the full PTA meeting for a vote. The Advisory Board cannot approve any spending over $1000.00 without taking it to the General PTA for a vote.
If you are interested in being an Advisory Board representative, talk with your child's teacher. We need you!
