Mission Statement

The Library Media Center is an integral part of Pittsboro Elementary where students can explore their own interests as well as a place where teachers can find materials to enhance student learning.  The center works to encourage students to be life-long learners, informed decision makers, users of information and enthusiastic readers.  

Miss Lemon in Carmen Deedy's THE LIBRARY DRAGON best sums it up when she says, "the library belongs to the children."
