Graduation Stole Order Form
In an effort to celebrate and support the diversity of students in our district, Chatham County Schools would like to provide our graduating seniors in the Class of 2023 an opportunity to order a Graduation Stole that represents their nation of origin. The district will provide stoles at no cost to all students who submit the form by the deadline of March 31, 2023.
Please use this form to select the stole that represents your nation of origin by March 31, 2023.
T3 Report Cards are going out Thursday, January 26th. Please reach out to Chasity Byrd if you have issues with PowerSchool access.
9-Weeks Grading for High Schools
High Schools will transition to 9-weeks grading periods beginning with the 2023-2024 school year. In shifting to nine-weeks grading periods, the additional instructional days per grading period provide an opportunity for students and families to receive increasingly authentic feedback in sufficient time to benefit from intervention, remediation, or acceleration.
New Dismissal Policy
Beginning with the start of the second semester, students will no longer be dismissed after 2:45pm. This will also include phone calls to have your students called out of class. We want to ensure that your student receives the maximum instruction time. As a note, this is a practice in many of Chatham County Schools already.
Click here for 2022-23 bus routes. The route stops and times are separated into different tabs by morning and afternoon.
You can "search" the document for your address or nearest stop. Google maps could be a useful tool.
If you would like to request a stop or have a question, email or call Karla Glover (firstname.lastname@example.org). The CCS Transportation Request form is found here.
CCS is now using the "Here Comes the Bus" app - directions found here.
We encourage everyone to sign up for Remind for the Bus Route. Our sign up codes are here.

Attention parents and community stateholders,
I hope the school year has started successfully for all of you. I am writing this letter to let you know that our school, like many other schools across the district and state, has been designated as a Targeted Support & Improvement Additional Targeted Support (TSI-AT). TSI-AT schools in North Carolina are those that may be achieving at high levels as a school, but have two subgroups that are under-performing - Students with Disabilities and English Language Learners. The intent of this opportunity is to improve educational outcomes for all students, close achievement gaps, increase equity, and improve the quality of instruction for all students.
You can find the areas of focus, and the outline of our school improvement plan linked below. This letter will be emailed to all families on Sunday, December 3rd.
- Dr. Brad Walston
