CSSE is not an open enrollment school.  Our students apply for admission in their 8th grade year, participate in an interview process and are selected by a committee to attend our program.  

Students who are selected, who are not currently enrolled in Chatham County Schools are expected to complete the enrollment process that all new students are required to enroll in schools in Chatham County. Students who are accepted from one of the CCS middle schools are not required to complete the newcomer enrollment process.

We will need the following documents: 

Proof of residence  - The proof of residence must be in the name of the parent or a legal guardian/legal custodian.

• Current, recently dated residential utility bill (gas, water, electric, land-line phone); OR
• Signed lease/rental agreement OR
• Signed closing statement or construction agreement with closing date within 45 day of enrollment of student OR
• A statement from the School Social Worker verifying, after a visit to the address, that the family does reside in the identified dwelling.
