Early College Focus

  • Chatham County Schools, in partnership with Central Carolina Community College, is providing an innovative opportunity for rising 9th grade students -- The Chatham County School of Science and Engineering.

The focus for CSSE includes Science, Math, Engineering, and advanced course options.  Enrolling 9th graders have the opportunity to earn a high school diploma and an Associate's Degree with no tuition costs. The Associate's Degree may then be used to transfer credits within the UNC system of colleges and universities.

The Chatham County School of Science and Engineering 'Early College' opened in August 2016.
