  • Good Afternoon Siler City Elementary students and families, this is Mrs. Poston calling with important information for the week

     

    Beginning Monday, March 30th only very limited staff, if any, will be available at school. Grab-and-go breakfast and lunch at designated sites will continue to be available from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (Monday-Friday). If you need assistance from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., please press the call button. If there is no response, dial 919.663.2032 and leave a message. Someone will contact you at a later time to provide assistance. Please know that this is subject to change at any time. 

     

    Virtual Spirit Week 

    Join the SCE teachers and staff in sharing our spirit and love for Siler City Elementary through a virtual spirit week starting Monday, March 30th and going through Friday, April 3rd. 

     

    Monday- DEAR Day

    Drop Everything and Read… Share a picture of you reading in your

    favorite spot at your house!

     

    Tuesday-Creation Day

    Share a picture of something cool you built, baked, or made.

     This could be anything from a fun cookie to a fort… get creative!

     

    Wednesday-Pajama Day

    Share a photo of you doing school work in your pajamas!

     

    Thursday-Outside Day

    Share a photo of you getting outside to play around your home!

     

    Friday- Share the Love Day

    Share your love of SCE Home Learners, Staff, and Teachers by

    wearing your favorite SCE Spirit Wear.  No spirit wear? No worries! 

    Red, Black, and White will be just fine!


     

    Laptop Distribution

    If you still need a laptop, please reach out to your child’s teacher and we will get one prepared for you. Someone will contact you when it is ready. 

     

    Packet pick up

    We will officially begin online learning on Tuesday, April 14th. For students that are not able to participate online, there will be packets available for pick up at school. Stay tuned. There will be more information to come.

     

    Chatham County parks and recreation  will be giving away candy filled eggs  via drive through at 3 of our county parks.  Individuals may drive through the county parks next week on the days and times listed below, and staff will hand out a free bag of candy filled eggs to take home to hunt. The Easter bunny will be there to wave. Distribution times will be from 4:30 to 6:00 on the following days and locations: 

    Tuesday, March 31st: Southwest District Park in Bear Creek.

    Wednesday, April 1st: The Park at Briar Chapel in Pittsboro.

    Thursday, April 2nd: Northwest District Park in Siler City.


     

    Candy Sale

    Our candybar sale is now officially over.  We will begin calling those who may still need to turn in money and work out a time for you to bring the money by the school.  Thank you to everyone who participated in this fundraiser!

  • Our district has an At-Home Learning website with information for families and students.  Please visit CCs At-Home Learning page New information is being added daily, so check back often.  There are links to online programs your child can access at home.

  • Good Evening,

    Starting tomorrow, March 17, meals  be provided for free for students up to 18 years old. Adults can purchase breakfast for $2 and lunch for $4. Cafeteria staff will be serving to go plates at the front of the school.

     

    Also, please continue to turn in candy money on Tuesday through Thursday from 7:30 to 5:00 daily.

    La escuelas seguiran dando desayuno y almuerzo grátis  para personas de adad 1 a 18 comenzando mañana, el 17 de Marzo. estaran dando desayuno y almuerzo desde las 8:30am a las 2pm. Los adultos tambien pueden comprar desayuno por $2 y almuerzo por $4. También puedes continuar entregar dinero de los dulces Martes a Jueves empezando a las 7:30 a 5:00 cada día.
