Siler City Elementary School Families,
Red Ribbon Week starts next week. Red Ribbon Week is the oldest and largest drug prevention campaign in the country. It brings millions of people together to raise awareness regarding the need for alcohol, drug, and violence prevention in schools and encourages youth to make positive, healthy choices. Starting Monday (tomorrow) we will start our spirit week to show that at SCE we choose to be drug-free. If you are interested in participating, the schedule is as follows:
Monday, October 21st - Wear red to kick off the start of our Red ribbon week campaign.
Tuesday October 22nd "Don't let drugs mix you up" on Wacky Tacky Day. Wednesday October 23rd is UNITY DAY, Wear Orange to show we stand up to bullying and negative peer pressure.
Thursday October 24th "Team up against drugs" and Wear Favorite Team Jersey/Shirt.
Friday October 25th- Wear Superhero gear and show your character counts and you're drug free
Join your favorite characters for a Fairytale Breakfast at Jordan Matthews HS on Nov. 2nd! Enjoy pancakes, sausage & juice while spending time with Cinderella, Snow White, Little Red Riding Hood and more. There will be plenty of opportunities for photos and autographs! The cost will be $10 per person. To register, please send an email to: firstname.lastname@example.org
We are still in need of volunteers for the PTA the night of October 31st from 5:30-7:30pm. Please consider volunteering. Call the front office to sign up. Thank you for your support.
We look forward to seeing you all tomorrow.
