Positive Behavior Support

  • Positive Behavior Support (PBS) is a research-based combination of practices that creates a positive school climate in which students can chieve behavioral and academic success. Students learn appropriate behaviors through instruction, practice, feedback, and encouragement. Because of the consistence in expectations from classroom to classroom, students learn that there are both consequences and rewards for their choices. Behaviors are reinforced with PBS rewards on a daily and quarterly basis. Dances are also held as a reward for positive behavior.
