The purpose of the National Junior Beta Club is to recognize outstanding achievement, promote character and social responsibility, encourage service involvement to the school and community, foster leadership skills, grant scholarships, and provide settings for students to develop interpersonal relationship skills.
Students in grades fifth through eighth grade with an overall average of 93 or above in math, language arts, science, and social studies for the first semester of the school year are eligible for Beta induction. Students must also possess and exhibit good character traits, and maintain an exemplary behavior in and outside the classroom. To remain a Beta member, students must maintain an overall average of 90 or above in the four core subjects listed above, complete required service hours, and participate in Jr. Beta sponsored activities.
