  • The purpose of the J. S. Waters PTA is to support teachers, staff, and students at J. S. Waters School. The PTA provides parents, teachers, and community members the opportunity to work together to improve the lives of our children.

    The PTA provides numerous school activities and resources to the teachers, staff, and students through funds raised from fall/winter/spring festivals, Gift Card Orders, Box Tops, and volunteer hours earned at the PTA Thriftshop.

    Our PTA shows appreciation to our faculty and staff on their birthdays, special occasions, and during Teacher Appreciation Week.

    A few PTA Q&A's:

    How can I contact the JSW PTA?

    * Email: jswpta@gmail.com

    *Phone: 919-898-2259 (please understand officers are volunteers and are not usually available immediately. We are happy to take a message and put in their mailbox)

    How does the PTA help my child?

    * The PTA provides many great things for JS Waters. They often make large purchases for the school. They also purchase smaller items for individual teachers that the school system does not budget for the teachers. The PTA gives teachers money to use to purchase items for the classroom, pay for field trips, or to use in the classroom as they see fit.

    How does the PTA get money?

    * The PTA gets the majority of its money through work nights and drop boxes from the three PTA Thrift Stores in Chatham County. We also earn money through our Gift Card Program, Box Tops, Fundraisers, and seasonal Festivals.
