Eighth grade families,
The Jordan Matthews AVID application is open for rising 9th graders to apply. Students do not have to be current AVID students to apply. Please note, JM allows students to be part of the Dual Language and AVID.
Applications are due by March 15th. Each student will need two teacher recommendations as well. If you have any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Ashley Moore, our School Counselor, or Ms. Shamicka Brower, our CMS AVID Coordinator.
Below is the link to the form 8th graders will use to register for classes at Jordan Matthews.
Please review with your 8th grader prior to the week of March 4th. High school registration will take place through the month of March and will be completed by Spring Break.

MAJOR UPCOMING EVENTS!!
**There will be a meeting for parents of Dual Language students on Tuesday, February 20 at 5:30 pm. We encourage all parents of Dual Language students to come on Tuesday night.
Tryouts/practices for spring sports will begin Tuesday, February 20. Students who are interested in playing baseball, women's soccer, or women's volleyball must have a current physical exam and must be academically eligible. See Coach Beane for more information.
CHATHAM PASS RESOURCE FOR CHECKING OUT EBOOKS
Chatham PASS (Public Library Access for Student Success). This program is open for all students in Chatham County Schools!
The Chatham PASS program uses students’ PowerSchool ID number to access the public library’s digital and physical materials through any Chatham County Public Library location.
Chatham PASS (Public Library Access for Student Success) (Acceso a la biblioteca pública para el éxito de los estudiantes). Este programa está abierto para todos los estudiantes en las escuelas del Condado de Chatham.
