MONCURE PTA FALL FESTIVAL
This year's Moncure PTA Fall Festival will be held on November 4 from 6 to 8PM. Please come on out for food, fun, games and much more! We are looking for community volunteers to help out at the Fall Festival. If you are able to volunteer, please contact the PTA (email@example.com).

RED RIBBON WEEK
Next week is Red Ribbon Spirit Week at Moncure. During Red Ribbon Spirit Week, students and staff show support for drug-use prevention through participation in a variety of fun activities. Next week's Red Ribbon Spirit Week's activities are as follows:
Monday: Red Day: students should wear as much red as possible
Tuesday: Hat Day: "Use you head and don't do drugs!"
Wednesday: "Team up against drugs day" student should wear clothes representing their favorite sports team.
Thursday: "Sock it to Drugs Day" students should wear their craziest socks
Monday (10.31): "Scare Away Drugs Day" students may dress up in costumes (no masks allowed, dress code must be followed)
Teachers will be holding parent conferences on October 28.
ALL COUNTY BAND
Moncure has 9 representatives performing with the Chatham County All-County Band. A special congratulations to Caroline Shi, Lilly McLean, Jaden Armstrong, Abby Oakes, Olivia Boggs, Shane Chubb, Brooks Ferri, Jackson Ferri and Jamaria Faucette. On October 27 at 7PM, come watch these seventh and eighth graders perform in the All-County Band at Northwood High School.
HURRICANE MATTHEW DONATIONS
Moncure School will be collecting items to help support families effected by Hurricane Matthew. We are collecting donations of clean blankets, diapers, wipes and toiletries. Donations can be sent to school with your child or dropped off in the main office from October 17 through October 31. Coming together as a Moncure Family, we can provide much-needed items to families who remain homeless and to those who lost everything. Thank you so much.

This summer some Moncure School students decided to give back to Moncure school. They decided to raise money for the Fuel Up program. This program was created to ensure students had food for the weekend. These students raised over $450 for the school's program. Thank you students for your hard work and giving back to the Moncure community!
